A thick fleece for the hours when the body no longer makes its own heat

The F400 is a thick zipped fleece jacket with an anti-pill finish that keeps the surface neat wash after wash. Its thickness holds a volume of warm air around the chest and it wears without effort.

The full-length zip regulates the warmth, two zipped pockets keep the essentials within reach, and the elasticated cuffs and drawcord close the air gaps. The relaxed fit leaves room for a layer underneath.

It is worn alone or as a mid layer under a parka. Sizes XXS to 8XL.

The thickness of the knit traps air around the chest: standing still, it makes up for the heat the body no longer produces. Under a windproof outer jacket, the fleece keeps its volume and its warmth. Do not squeeze it under the jacket: a compressed knit insulates less. To walk or work, open the zip before you get hot.

A thick fleece for the hours of standing still: a volume of air held in the knit, a zip that regulates the warmth and a surface that stays neat.

The three-layer system:

1st layer — base: next to the skin. Captures body heat and moves perspiration outwards.
2nd layer — mid layer (role of this product): insulates and holds warm air around the body. Stops neither wind nor rain.
3rd layer — outer: shell, softshell jacket or padded gilet. Blocks wind and holds warmth. In sustained rain, a hardshell takes over.
