Thermal Protection

Recommended for use from -10°C to -30°C*. The 3-in-1 modularity precisely adjusts the insulation level: outer shell alone for wet or windy conditions above 0°C, insulated liner alone indoors or in mid-season, full system for deep cold down to -30°C with proper layering underneath.

How to wear it

3 ways to wear it, depending on the conditions:

3-in-1 mode (jacket + liner zipped together) — for deep cold: wear it as the outer layer (3rd layer), with a thermal base layer (1st layer) and a jumper or fleece (2nd layer) underneath. This is the configuration required to reach -30°C.
Liner alone — for moderate cold: wear the insulated liner as a standalone jacket (3rd layer), with a thermal base layer (1st layer) and a jumper or fleece (2nd layer) if needed.
Outer shell alone (without the liner) — for rain and wind without overheating: ideal for mid-season or sustained activity, with a thermal base layer and possibly a light jumper underneath.

Key takeaway: the colder it gets, the more layers you add underneath. The XR-6W (in full mode or liner alone) always remains the outer layer — it's what protects you from wind, rain and snow. The 2nd layer (jumper or fleece) is what makes the difference between 0°C and -30°C.

Tip: Get dressed in a cool environment just before heading out — layering up in a heated room saturates your base layers with moisture and reduces their effectiveness from the very first minutes of exposure.

Size Guide

The XR-6W has a women's princess fitted cut. For standard use, choose your usual size.

For multi-layer use (thermal base layer + fleece in addition to the liner), allow extra room — if in doubt, size up.

For accurate measurements, take them in your underwear or wearing a light t-shirt, keeping the tape measure flat against your body without pulling tight.
