Originally designed for professionals, this Jersey offers exceptional warmth and unrivalled comfort, whether for Work or for your outdoor activities in cold weather.
This Thermal Jersey is made from 92% polyester and 8% elastane, guaranteeing excellent thermal insulation while offering great flexibility and total freedom of movement.
Its ability to retain body heat means you can stay warm in freezing weather.
The breathable fabric efficiently wicks away perspiration to keep you dry, even when you're active.
The Reward top is worn as a base layer, directly on the skin, under a fleece or a jacket. The 230 g/m² polyester and elastane knit is brushed on the inside: that pile holds a thin layer of warm air against the body. The 8% elastane keeps the garment in place when you raise your arms or bend over, without compressing. The long sleeves reach the wrist, the round neck stays discreet under another garment, and the contrast stitching is flat so it does not mark the skin. The fabric carries the Ultra Lava treatment, which limits odours caused by perspiration.
A base layer is not chosen on its thickness, but on what it does with perspiration. Under two or three layers the body produces moisture even in severe cold; if that moisture stays against the skin, it chills you as soon as you slow down. A polyester knit moves it outwards and leaves the skin dry. That is what decides the hour at which you start to feel cold.
A base layer does not warm you by itself: it holds on to the heat the body produces, and moves moisture away from the skin. That is the job of the brushed inner face, whose pile traps a thin layer of air against the body, and of the polyester, which lets perspiration through instead of holding it against the skin — damp skin cools far faster than dry skin. For that to work, the garment has to stay in contact with the skin: that is what the 8% elastane provides, keeping the knit in place without compressing.
Because it is the layer every other one depends on. The brushed inner face brings warmth against the skin, the polyester moves moisture away, and the elastane keeps the garment in place under a fleece or a jacket without ever catching at the shoulder.
