The CXS Akron is a softshell trouser for days outdoors as the cold sets in. Its TPU membrane resists water while letting vapour escape. The elastane in the fabric moves with every step, crouch and load. The adjustable elastic waist fits to the waist, four front pockets and a zipped back pocket hold the essentials. The vents at the thighs and behind the knees release the heat of effort as soon as it builds.

Too short on you? The EASY-PROLONG system releases the seam on the legs and lengthens the trousers for a taller frame. On the climb, the thigh vents release heat before you start to sweat. When the cold sets in, slip a thermal base layer underneath.

Why choose the CXS Akron?

A stretch softshell, a TPU membrane and vents placed where effort builds heat: the CXS Akron keeps up with the walk, the outdoors and the movements of the day. It handles a shower. In sustained rain, a hardshell over-trouser takes over.

The three-layer system:

  • 1st layer — base: next to the skin. Captures body heat and moves perspiration outwards.
  • 2nd layer — mid layer: insulates and holds warm air around the body.
  • 3rd layer — outer (role of this product): softshell trousers or over-trousers. Resists water, lets vapour escape. In sustained rain, a hardshell takes over.
