The shortest piece Audvik makes, built to let you move
The Berlin II is the shortest piece Audvik makes — 78 cm back length, it stops at the hip. It is the brand’s best-selling men’s model, now in its second generation: same short cut, but the insulation moves to PrimaLoft Black.
A parka that stops at the hip leaves the pelvis free: you get into a car, swing a leg over a bike, sit down, without having to pull it out of the way.
The EcoStretch fabric is stretchy: it keeps out wind and rain showers and lets the body breathe. Fixed hood with an adjustment pull and reflective details, waterproof-zip pockets, inner recycled micro-fleece cuffs. Available in sizes S to 3XL.

Warmth, comfort, protection: a short parka is chosen for what it lets you do. You lose the cover over the thighs, you gain moving without thinking about it. This is an everyday piece, not a garment for standing still in the cold — for that, take a long coat.

Thermal protection
PrimaLoft is a synthetic insulation developed for the US Army, which needed something that would still keep you warm once wet — the one thing down cannot do. Its microfibres imitate down: they hold heat for very little weight or bulk, but they do not collapse in the rain. You stay warm and dry. Here 200 gsm. Wear it over a base layer and a fleece.

Size guide
A short cut, back length 78 cm — the parka stops at the hip. Measure chest and hips at the fullest point, the waist at the navel, and arm length from the centre back of the neck to the wrist with the elbow slightly bent.

Why choose the Berlin II?
Because most winter garments protect well and get in the way a little. The Berlin II makes the opposite choice: it stops at the hip and gives the body back its freedom, without giving up any insulation. It is designed and sewn in Montréal, in the brand’s own workshop.
The three-layer system:
- 1st layer — base: next to the skin. Captures body heat and moves perspiration outwards.
- 2nd layer — mid layer: insulates and holds warm air around the body. Fleece, knit or thermal top.
- 3rd layer — outer (role of this product): shell, softshell jacket or padded gilet. Blocks wind and holds warmth. In sustained rain, a hardshell takes over.
