The Toronto II is a long winter parka, 92.5 cm back length: the small of the back stays covered when you sit down. It is the brand’s best-selling men’s model, redrawn for its second generation with a straighter back.
A waterproof-zip chest pocket joins the flap-covered side pockets — enough to keep a travel pass or a phone to hand without opening the parka. The hood is detachable and carries a reflective detail.
The EcoStretch fabric is stretchy: it keeps out wind and rain showers and lets the body breathe. Inner recycled micro-fleece cuffs. Available in sizes S to 3XL.
Warmth, comfort, protection: this parka is built for a whole day, not for one journey. The length covers the small of the back when you sit — that is where the cold settles on a piece cut too short. And use the chest pocket for what you pull out twenty times a day; that is cold air that never gets in.
PrimaLoft is a synthetic insulation developed for the US Army, which needed something that would still keep you warm once wet — the one thing down cannot do. Its microfibres imitate down: they hold heat for very little weight or bulk, but they do not collapse in the rain. You stay warm and dry. Here 200 gsm, spread evenly across body and sleeves. Wear it over a base layer and a fleece.
Because the point is not merely to avoid being cold: you want to be warm, from the first journey of the morning to the last of the evening. This parka is built for a whole day rather than a moment.
The three-layer system:
* Indicative temperature. Perceived warmth varies with activity, body type, humidity, wind and the layers worn underneath.
