Thermal protection

A foot warmer adds the heat the shoe does not produce, without replacing it: socks and shoes must be enough without it. Stick it on the sock, never against bare skin, as cold numbs sensitivity and a burn goes unnoticed. Leave some air in the shoe: the reaction needs oxygen, and a tight shoe stops the pad as well as squeezing the foot. One pad per foot: too much heat makes you sweat, and that moisture chills you as soon as the reaction stops.
