When the whole sole of the foot freezes, not just the toes

A pair of extra-thin heated insoles to lay inside the shoe instead of a spot warmer: the heat comes from the whole surface of the foot, heel to toes. Open the sachet, leave the insoles in the air for a few minutes, slip them into the shoe and put it back on. Four sizes, EU 36 to 46, made in Europe, natural ingredients, single use. Sold by the pair, with a quantity discount from 5 pairs; the pack of 5 pairs in your size is also in our range.

Grand-Froid expert's view

In a wide boot, a loose warmer ends up under the arch or against the edge. Here the insole takes up the whole space and stays put. At the first signs of cold, take the boot off, open the sachet, give it a few minutes in the air, and slip the insole on top of the shoe's own. Put the boot back on without forcing: it needs air to heat, and a squeezed foot stays cold.

What is it designed for?

For the whole foot standing still on cold ground, in a shoe with room for an insole.

  • Driving machinery and sledding: forklift, tractor, snowmobile, dog sled, feet resting for hours on a cold floor in the wind
  • Fixed night post: security, access control, Christmas market, when the body stopped producing heat long ago
  • Seated spectator: stadium, ice rink, outdoor ceremony, feet on the ground for two hours
  • Wide winter boots: the space under the foot takes the insole, where an adhesive pad only covers the toes
  • Cold-sensitive feet: as prevention, placed before going out; for everyone else, opened at the first sign

Thermal protection

The insole adds the heat the shoe does not produce, without replacing it: socks and shoes must be enough on their own. Lay it under the sock, never under a bare foot, as cold numbs sensitivity and a burn goes unnoticed. It is designed for the reduced air inside a closed shoe, but a tight shoe smothers it and squeezes the foot: leave room for air. A sweating foot chills as soon as the reaction stops; if your feet are warm, take the insole out.

Care & Durability
  • Sealed sachet: keeps for several months, stored dry
  • Do not open in advance: the reaction starts on contact with air
  • Pausing: sealed in an airtight bag, an insole still warm pauses and restarts at the next opening
  • Disposal: once cooled, the insole goes in the household waste, the sachet in packaging recycling

Why choose these heated insoles?

Eight hours of heat under the whole sole of the foot, in an insole thin enough to go into a closed shoe without changing size. It is the format that covers the most surface, for the posts where the foot does not move.

Why the sole of the foot matters:

  • Conduction: it is through the sole, in contact with the insole and the ground, that a still foot loses the most heat.
  • Circulation: in the cold, the body cuts blood flow to the extremities to protect the torso; local heat limits that shutdown.
  • Surface: heating the whole underside of the foot rather than one spot avoids the contrast between warm toes and a cold heel.

For a snug shoe with no room for an insole, the 8-hour adhesive foot warmers stick to the sock, in our range.
