Pack of 2 Water-Free Lip Balms — Grand-Froid

A balm gets left in a coat, lost at the bottom of a bag, or runs dry mid cold snap. This pack holds two: one on you, one in reserve.

Each stick lays down a film of waxes and rich oils that seals moisture in and shields the surface from the elements. The formula contains no water at all, so nothing in it can freeze against the skin.

Beeswax, shea butter and coconut oil feed the surface, while a vitamin E derivative keeps the blend from oxidising. Vanilla scent, two 4.5 g sticks.

Offers no protection against the sun.

Thermal protection

The film it leaves clings to the surface and slows the evaporation that wind and dry air speed up. That mechanism, rather than any temperature figure, is what counts once the weather turns.

Why wear a lip balm in winter?

Because lips are the one part of the face with no oil of their own to fall back on: they lose water faster than the rest, and nothing in the body makes up for it.

  • A film that holds: mineral waxes and beeswax slow evaporation where the skin cannot manage alone.
  • Two nourishing plants: shea butter and coconut oil soften a surface already worn.
  • A repeated gesture: cover has to be renewed several times a day, which is why a spare earns its place.
