The Monaco III+ is a Canadian extreme-cold parka, designed and sewn in Montréal. 10,000 mm membrane, 300 gsm insulation that keeps its warmth even in damp weather, rated down to −30 °C / −22 °F. What sets it apart: it was drawn for fuller figures, not scaled up from a standard block. A rare piece on the European market.
The Monaco III+ is the plus size version of the Monaco III, and the first pattern Audvik has drawn for these body shapes rather than simply widening a standard block. Back length is 86 cm, below the knee. The EcoStretch fabric is stretchy with a water-repellent surface, over a membrane that stops water and lets vapour out. Inside, a honeycomb insulation holds air without thickening the silhouette. Detachable hood, hidden-zip pockets, mesh inner pocket for gloves, inner micro-fleece cuffs.
Sewn in Montréal, this coat brings together what you ask of a winter parka: a cut that leaves the arm free and pinches nowhere, insulation that keeps its warmth even in damp weather, and a membrane that stops rain as well as wind. The rest is everyday life.
The synthetic insulation of the Monaco III+ keeps its insulating power when the garment takes on moisture: you stay warm and dry, which counts in a European winter, damp far more often than it is polar. The membrane stops rain and wind.
It blocks wind and rain, it insulates enough for standing still in the cold, and its synthetic insulation holds its promise in damp weather. It is sewn in Montréal, in the brand’s own workshop.
The three-layer system:
* Indicative temperature. Perceived warmth varies with activity, body type, humidity, wind and the layers worn underneath.
