A fleece that lets itself be forgotten: the fabric is smooth on the outside, brushed on the inside, and its stretch comes from Sorona® Aura fibre, partly plant-based.

The stand-up collar closes the top of the chest, the elasticated ribbing at the cuffs and hem stops it riding up, and the four zipped pockets hold what you put in them, bent forward or crouching.

Thermal protection

−10 °C / 14 °F is the lower limit given for this fleece worn on its own, in dry weather with the body active. This is a thin layer: it follows the movement but will not hold a long standstill. As soon as the post becomes static or the wind gets up, wear it under a windproof jacket, and it is that jacket which then sets the working temperature of the whole outfit.

Why choose this Sorona® Aura fleece jacket?

Because it lasts the day without asking for attention: the fibre takes creasing, heat, UV and chlorine in its stride, and the garment comes out of the machine ready to wear again. It is a mid layer: wear it over a thermal base layer, and under a softshell or a parka as soon as the wind gets up.

The three-layer system:

1st layer — base: next to the skin. Captures body heat and moves perspiration outwards.
2nd layer — mid layer (role of this product): insulates and holds warm air around the body. Stops neither wind nor rain.
3rd layer — outer: shell, softshell jacket or padded gilet. Blocks wind and holds warmth. In sustained rain, a hardshell takes over.
