The Nortec Corsa 2.5 running crampons are designed for one purpose: running through winter on frozen ground. Their lightweight structure improves fit, sole grip and running comfort, while the high-tech elastomer allows quick fitting and a firm bond to the shoe. The steel crampon plates bite into ice and hard snow, and the construction system lets you replace the spikes rather than the whole crampon. Supplied in a compact case made of technical material. Personal protective equipment of category II, certified to Regulation (EU) 2016/425 and to standard EN 893:2019.
Winter running usually stops at the first icy pavement. The Corsa 2.5 change that calculation, provided you fit them to a running or trail shoe, never to a hiking boot. The first few strides take some getting used to: do a short there-and-back before setting off. The spikes are replaced one by one, which extends the life of the crampon.
Most anti-slip devices are built for walking, and you feel it the moment you speed up. The Corsa 2.5 start from the running stride: a lightweight structure, a close fit on a flexible sole, and ground contact designed for the stride rather than the step.
Two technical choices set them apart. The steel plates, which bite into hard snow and ice where chains or plastic studs slide. And the interchangeable spikes, which mean a worn crampon is repaired rather than replaced — on a product with a five-year service life, the difference in cost is real.
