How to use the 0795R — The 3-Layer Extreme Cold System

The 0795R is the 3rd layer for the lower body. Its performance depends on what you wear underneath — and what else you protect.

1st layer: breathable base layer — merino wool or synthetic technical fabric. Single purpose: wick moisture away from the body.
2nd layer: the adjustable variable. Light — fleece or hybrid — for physical trades. Heavy — 400g fleece — for static posts where lack of movement amplifies the cold.
3rd layer: the 0795R and the 0790R jacket seal the system. Worn as a pair, no part of the body is exposed.

Complete extreme cold kit:

Head: insulated hat or balaclava, face mask, neck gaiter. Hands: thin liner gloves + extreme cold gloves or mittens. Feet: thermal socks + insulated boots rated for the temperature.

Care instructions

Washing: machine wash at 30 °C maximum, delicate cycle, no fabric softener — softener destroys the membrane's DWR treatment.
Drying: hang to air dry only. No tumble dryer, no radiator.
DWR reactivation: after several washes, 10 minutes in the tumble dryer on low heat or a light steam iron through a cloth reactivates the DWR treatment.
