Thermal Protection

Recommended for use down to -30°C*. The Thermolex™ High Loft insulation combined with the HD H2XTREME® 10K/10K membrane and the internal powder skirt creates a complete thermal protection system.

How to get the best from it?

The Grand-Froid 3-Layer System:

1st layer — breathable thermal base layer: wool for versatility and natural comfort, synthetic for breathability and value. Both work — the key is that it moves moisture away from the skin
2nd layer — mid layer: this is the adjustable variable. Lightweight and breathable for high-output activities, thick and insulating for passive activities or long cold exposure
3rd layer — the Denali EPK-3W: full outer protection against wind, rain and snow

Tip: Get dressed in a cool environment just before heading out — layering up in a heated room saturates your base layers with moisture and reduces their effectiveness from the very first minutes of exposure.
