The RefrigiWear Platinum Boots 123C are built for countries where temperatures stay at −30 °C or below all day. 1000g Thinsulate™, 8" oiled buffalo leather upper, Vibram® IceTrek® outsole and resoleable construction — total protection for permanent extreme cold. Rated −35 °C.
The RefrigiWear Platinum Boots 123C are the most insulated boots in the range. Their 1000g Thinsulate™ is designed for permanent intense cold — Siberia, Canadian Arctic, Alaska, polar zones. 8" oiled buffalo leather upper for total ankle and lower leg protection, Vibram® Montana IceTrek® outsole, resoleable construction and VitaComfort® system.
⚠️ Who is the Platinum 123C for? With 1000g Thinsulate™, these boots are designed for countries where temperatures stay at −30 °C or below all day. For use in milder conditions with activity, the 129C or 120C (400g) are more appropriate. Too much insulation during moderate activity causes overheating and perspiration, which ultimately cools the feet. The 123C is the right choice only for deployments in permanent extreme cold zones.
"The Platinum is the boot for permanent extreme cold. If you're deployed in Siberia, Canada or deep Scandinavia where temperatures stay below −25 °C all day — this is the one. The 8" oiled buffalo leather protects the lower leg — the most exposed zone. If that's not your situation, the 120C or 129C are a better fit."
Recommended for use down to −35 °C*. The 1000g Thinsulate™ provides the highest insulation available in this boot range. The 8" oiled buffalo leather upper seals the lower leg against cold infiltration — complete thermal protection from foot to ankle for permanent extreme cold environments.
Because in countries where it's −30 °C or below every day, there's no room for compromise. The Platinum 123C offers 1000g Thinsulate™, an 8" oiled buffalo leather upper, Vibram® IceTrek® outsole and resoleable construction — total protection for permanent extreme cold. Rated to −35 °C.
* Indicative thermal rating. The sensation of cold depends on air flow intensity (ventilation), humidity, the intensity of the task performed and, above all, exposure time.
