A fleece that follows the movement: the fabric is smooth on the outside, brushed on the inside, and it draws its stretch from Sorona® Aura fibre, partly plant-based.
The stand-up collar closes the top of the chest, the elasticated ribbing at the cuffs and hem holds it in place when your arms go up, and the four zipped pockets keep what you put in them, bent forward or crouching.
You keep it on all day because you forget it is there: it slips under a work jacket without adding bulk and the smooth outer face does not catch on a harness. The habit to build is to manage the heat with the zip rather than take it off every time you step inside.
Down to −10 °C / 14 °F on its own, in dry weather with the body moving: this is a thin layer, built for activity rather than for standing still. As soon as the wind gets up or the post becomes static, wear it under a windproof jacket: it becomes the insulating layer of the system, and it is then the outer jacket that sets the working temperature of the whole.
Because it insulates without getting in the way: the stretch of the fibre keeps the movement free, the thin build lets it go under a jacket without tightening the shoulders, and it comes out of the machine without needing an iron. Wear it over a thermal base layer, and under a softshell or a parka as soon as the wind gets up.
