The Ole Huppa tube scarf combines a merino wool face and a soft bamboo reverse (50% merino wool, 46% bamboo, 4% nylon): thermoregulating, it absorbs moisture. It closes the collar, protects the neck down to −10 °C / 14 °F in dry weather and stays soft against the skin, with nothing to tie. One size, pulled on in one move.
Ole is a tube scarf in merino wool and bamboo (50% merino wool, 46% bamboo, 4% nylon). The merino face is worn outside and the soft bamboo against the skin; the knit is thermoregulating and absorbs moisture.
Merino keeps the heat in when it is cold and lets the skin breathe when it is mild, the bamboo absorbs moisture and the nylon strengthens the fibre. Ole is neither waterproof nor designed to block the wind: keep it for dry cold.
Walking to the office, the collar opens and the cold rushes in at the back of the neck: a tube scarf closes that gap without any knot, so there is nothing to retie at every stop. You pull it on before the jacket, merino outside and bamboo against the skin. Use Ole for dry cold, and pull it up over the lower face in the wind.
Ole protects the neck down to −10 °C / 14 °F in dry weather. Below that, or during a long stop, add a hat: a still body produces less heat than a moving one. When you stop, the neck cools faster than when walking: put this layer on before you slow down. It is a layer for dry cold, not a replacement for a hat or a hood.
Ole combines merino, bamboo and nylon in a single tube scarf: the neck stays warm, the skin stays comfortable and the fabric lasts.
The neck is often protected last: a scarf is tied and untied, a tube scarf goes on once and stays in place.
Why protect the neck:
* Indicative temperature. Perceived warmth varies with activity, body type, humidity, wind and the layers worn underneath.
