The Reward thermal leggings for women CXS are designed to provide warmth and immediate leg insulation in freezing weather.
Made from 92% polyester and 8% elastane, this thermal base layer guarantees excellent heat retention thanks to its brushed interior, while offering total freedom of movement. Its breathable fabric efficiently wicks away sweat to keep you dry, even when active.
An essential first layer to slip under work trousers or ski pants to fully insulate your lower body.
The Reward leggings are worn as a base layer, directly on the skin, under work trousers, jeans or ski trousers. The 230 g/m² polyester and elastane knit is brushed on the inside: that pile holds a thin layer of warm air against the legs, where cold is felt soonest. The 8% elastane lets the fabric follow the bend of the knee and the hip without stretching out or sliding down, and the elasticated waistband stays soft under a garment. The fabric carries the Ultra Lava treatment, which limits odours caused by perspiration.
We happily add a layer on the torso and keep the same trousers all year round. Yet the legs are a large exposed surface, and they produce little heat as soon as you stop walking. A thin base layer changes the day far more than one more jumper: it takes up no room under the trousers, and it works from morning to evening without your thinking about it.
A base layer does not warm you by itself: it holds on to the heat the body produces, and moves moisture away from the skin. That is the job of the brushed inner face, whose pile traps a thin layer of air against the legs, and of the polyester, which lets perspiration through instead of holding it against the body — damp skin cools far faster than dry skin. For that to work, the garment has to stay in contact with the skin: that is what the 8% elastane provides, keeping the knit in place without compressing.
Because they cover the part of the body we dress least in winter. The brushed inner face brings warmth against the skin, the elastane keeps the fabric in place under the trousers, and 230 g/m² stays fine enough to go unnoticed under a pair of jeans.
